Our adoption process here at A&A Horse Haven is not complicated at all. First, we ask that if you are interested in a horse here at A&A Horse Haven you may contact us to talk about the horse to find out more of the information you are interested in knowing. Next, we ask that if this is the horse you are looking for, you fill out the application for the board members to look over and decide if we need any additional information. At this time we often discuss the adoption fee and what the adoption fee from said horse will be used for at the rescue. We will then do a home visit if in reasonable distance, if not we ask that you send us pictures of your property and proof that it is your residence. If you can't decide if you for sure want the horse we offer a 7 day trial period for those local to us. The seven day trial period consists of the adoption fee being paid and the money held by the rescue. After the 7 days, you can decide if you want to complete the process or return the horse. In the instance you decide you do not want the horse in the 7 days , you may return the horse. As long is it is returned in the same shape as when it left the rescue you will receive a full refund of your money. If you decide to keep the horse, then we can deliver the horse with fuel charge or the adopter can come pick up the horse once the adopter has been approved.
